Underwater attractions

In the south of Šolta islands is a small bay Livka, on which is one of the most beautiful reefs of this part of Adriatic. This place is intended for technical divers. It is possible to get there by boat, which is anchored in the small bay. In order to reach the place it is necessary to pass the plateau – there is a rock cliff, which descending vertically to the depth of 50 meters forms a wonderful reef. Galerija cave is at 35 meters. While exploring it is possible to notice ancient anchor located at the bottom. Both the wall and cave are extremely interesting biologically. The area is covered by white gorgonians and rare species of sea algae – red algae. There is also a rich underwater life – it is possible to see lobsters, snails, octopus, sea eels, Peter’s Fish, cabrilla and blennies. Due to very good visibility this place is perfect for underwater photography.
