Underwater attractions

On the south-east coast of Krk island is a great dive site called Glavina, where it is possible to admire lively rocks. There are two walls – one of them descends on 25 meters, so this place is for persons with advanced level. The second wall reaches 45 meters and it is intended for technical diving. It is also possible to find a small cave, which fits one diver. Glavina is a very interesting place in biological terms; there are among others snails, octopus, crabs and crayfish. It is possible to come across of bait fish. The area is covered by sea anemones, sponges and corals. To the diving site it is necessary to get by boat, which is anchored on the shallows. The best to go there between May and September, when the water temperature fluctuates between 22 and 28°C.
