Underwater attractions

Kaprije is a small island, which is a part of the Sibenik archipelago. There is a very interesting dive site around it, with a lot of small caves and rock walls. An interesting element of the terrain is great overhang formed by the sea thousands of years ago. Growing here colorful sponges, yellow corals and gorgonians, and pink ectoprocta constitute an ideal object of photographic sessions. There it is possible to meet various sea creatures, such as sea eels, octopus, crayfish and bait fish. A wall is located on the north side of island with two terraces – the first begins at 8-12 meters, descends to a depth of 20 meters. Novice persons can swim here. However, the second terrace is located on 30-32 meters. Next there is a vertical wall reaching up to 55 meters, which is perfectly suitable for technical diving. On the sandy bottom, there is a cavity, where lobsters and sea basses are looking for sheltering.
