Wreck description:

Achilleas was a Greek freighter built in 1949. It sank by an explosion on board in 1975. To this day could no one was able to determine the reasons. However, the wreck is infamously associated with the insurance claim. The wreck lies upside-down on a sandy bottom. Engine and propeller are preserved in good condition. The bow and stern are almost entirely destroyed by the explosion. Dive site easily accessible from the boat, and thanks to the shallow positioning and good light in the clear waters of Cyprus, allows for a smooth visit.
