Wreck description:

To the diving site it is possible to get only by boat. Average depth is 20 m. There is a shipwreck of the British steamer, which on September 14, 1869 crashed on Abu Nuhass reef and sank. The ship had a length of 89 m and width of 9 m. On the day of disaster transported lots of wine, cotton, copper and 40 000 British pounds in gold. While sinking the ship broke up under the hull with a great thud and therefore exploring it from the inside is only partly possible. After the disaster, there was taken action to extract sunk gold, but failed to take all bars out. Until today it isn’t known what happened with the part of valuable cargo.
